Faculty Qualification Standards - 4 Year Degree Program

The ALEP standards address whether the program demonstrates “overall high quality” and supports “continuous improvement”.

Deploying qualified faculty is deemed to be a key attribute of high-quality logistics and supply chain management programs. High-quality academic programs are delivered by faculty members that:

  • Are experts in the subject matter of their teaching and research fields
  • Are current in their teaching field through their research, professional experience, and/or other development activities
  • Understand the educational process and student learning
  • Create a learning environment that is conductive to student interaction and engagement, and are highly interactive with their students

ALEP Faculty Qualification System

Faculty resources are classified by a combined Faculty Qualification (FQ) score incorporating Academic Qualification (AQ), Professional Qualification (PQ), and Teaching Qualification (TQ) scores

  • AQ- Educational background
  • PQ- Professional experience
  • TQ- Pedagogy (teaching method)

FQ=AQ+PQ+TQ

Max FQ Score – 100 points
